Consumer-Directed Services is covered under Missouri Medicaid (HCBS) the service pays your family and friends to care for their disabled loved ones
Eligibility Requirements for CDS:
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must have an active Missouri Medicaid
- You must be able to make decisions and direct your own care
Eligibility Requirements for CDS Attendant (PCA)
- You must be chosen by the qualified CDS Consumer
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a background check
- Must be someone other than the qualified CDS consumer’s spouse

What to Expect from Us Once You Started Your Consumer Directed Services Here at Briva Home Healthcare
Service Coordinator
You will have a service Coordinator assigned to you from the beginning. They will be there to guide you and help you as Consumer. They will contact you at least once a month to ensure satisfaction with your services and that your needs are being met. Your service coordinator will also visit you regularly in your home.
Employer Financial Responsibilities
You are the employer as the consumer, your attendant is your employee. Briva staff will help you complete all the necessary financial paperwork. Our staff handles all of the employer tax withholdings and payments to the IRS, Missouri Department of Revenue, Division of Employment Security, and local taxes.
Your Employee (Attendant)
Your Personal Care attendant, which you choose, will work on a schedule which you determine. Your care plan will be developed by The Department of Health and Senior Services and there are many activities that this would include, depending upon your needs.
Briva Home Healthcare will work with you to resolve tax ordeliquencies from previous CDS providers.

- Essential Transportation
